Abstract

"Waste Management and Public Cleansing Law" was revised in October 1991, and enforced in July 1992. The revise introduced "Tokubetu-Kanri-Haikibutu" system into waste management in Japan. "Tokubetu-Kanri-Haikibutu" are wastes which should be managed under more strict control than other wastes.
