Abstract
This report shows the results of research concerning recycling costs for packaging in 151 Japanese municipalities. It revealed that actual recycling costs depend on what type of packaging material is used, as well as the various collection and processing conditions in each municipality. The results also show a necessity for integrated discussions leading toward minimization of recycling costs.
